My work is all about love, in particular a mother's love. The kind of love that sustains you. I create oil paintings of my family on flourescent backgrounds. I carefully construct the finished work to balance the negative space - which at the end of the day just doesn't matter because it takes a lot to undo that kind of love.

My watercolour kit is my constant companion when travelling. In this exhibition I have worked with the vibrant transparency of the watercolour pigment to capture the ethereal beauty of florals I have discovered on my travels and at home. Flowers connect us. They mark big occasions… happy and sad. This body of work is a celebration of their fleeting perfection.

I love working with soapstone, limestone and sand stone. Her sculptures explore the relationships between solid shapes and voids, light and shadow. My enamelled glass pieces reflect a lifelong interest in all things botanical. lnspiration is found in my garden and Australia’s wonderful bushland.

I’ll be showing some new work, old work and prints on wood. I’ll be at the show most of the time it’s on so pop-in and say Hi. I’ve included a range of prints in this exhibition as I want to provide some more affordable options for collectors. These are printed in Melbourne by the team at Print on Wood and they make great gifts with Christmas rapidly approaching!

It’s that time of year again! The holidays are approaching and you’re stuck for gift ideas. If you have someone in your life who loves art, then you’re in luck. There are many different types of art that make for perfect gifts. Here are just a few ideas to get you started: Paintings: You can find paintings in a variety of mediums, from oil and watercolor to acrylic and gouache. If you’re not sure what kind of painting the person you’re buying for would like, try a gift certificate to a local art gallery. Glasswork: Glass sculptures and vases make for beautiful and unique gifts. You can find them in a variety of colors and styles to suit any taste. Sculpture: If you’re looking for something a little more unusual, try a sculpture. You can find them in metal, stone, wood, or even paper.

In today's rapidly developing world, the arts are easy to overlook. With new technology and the never-ending hustle and bustle of everyday life, it can be hard to remember the importance of art and its impact on our lives. Art is a form of expression that has the ability to transcend language and communicate feelings and emotions that are difficult to put into words. It can also be used as a form of therapy to help deal with trauma and difficult life experiences. For these reasons, and many others, it is important to support local visual artists. One way to do this is by attending art exhibitions and shows. This is a great way to see a variety of artworks and meet the artists themselves. The oil painting exhibition is one such event. This is a chance to see the work of some of the most talented local artists and support their livelihoods.

Local artists are putting on an exhibition of their oil paintings, sculptures & glasswork in an effort to get sales. The show is being held in a small gallery downtown, and will feature a variety of landscapes, still lifes, and portraits. The artists are all local emerging artists who are passionate about their work, and are hoping to get some recognition for their efforts. This is a great opportunity to support your local community and see some beautiful artwork at the same time. The exhibition will be open for one week, and the gallery is open from 9am to 5pm.

All mums will understand the title of this show! Especially creative mums who have juggled work, family commitments and their creative practice. Carving out time to consistently practice is often difficult, sometimes impossible and at other times very doable! It’s hard enough to find time to get work done when you’re a parent, let alone when you’re also trying to find time to be creative. But for many artist mums, being creative is essential to their work-life balance. So how do they do it? How do they manage to juggle the demands of creative practice with the demands of parenting? In this show, you’ll see the work of three artist mums and find out how they find time to get work done, despite the challenges.
